Remember the fallen christmas trees.

We see them everywhere this time of year. Such friends that we welcomed into our homes, dressed in so much splendor, and then loved as they brought us so much joy of the season. 

The unfortunate truth is now that Christmas is over they sit abandoned and rotting in the streets. forgotten and waiting to be dealt with and taken away.

Year after year this keeps happening. You too can help prevent this though. Purchase an artificial tree to use for multiple years. If you must get a natural tree , buy a sustainably grown one. Then think about where it will go after the season is over. Will it be planted? will it be turned into mulch?  When and where are the collection options for discarded trees? With just a bit of compassion we too can ensure that our  tree friends are not left abandoned in the cold.
