SL 2.0 Finally?
I'm checking out the new SL 2.0 viewer... it reminds me of the windows vista/ MSoffice 2008 switch. it's got some neat features and some annoying ones and is completely unintuitive for established users.
Which is the thing I hate the most about it. I hate it when companies do a "screw you" to their established user base with no reasonable explanation..
Don't get me wrong, I do like change, but I prefer it to be logical change. Some things definately needed improvement. However some things that were just fine were changed along with those that needed improving in new confusing ways..
The worst parts:
All the options seem to be rearranged, regrouped them in new supposedly more "user intuitive" groups. however I really doubt that, for example things like voice chat settings are on two different tabs this makes it incredibly hard to find them all. I'm fairly technically savvy and it took me forever to figure out where the option to turn off Voice chat toggle was. I finally discovered it was in advanced, why? I don't know I guess it's advanced to not want your mic on all the time blasting noise into the voice channel. I cringe to think how non tecnical users are fairing.
