Second Life's 6th birthday.

SO SL6B has come and gone...

6 years of SL and nearly 5 years of my own participation in it.. amazing.

I thought it was quite good. A number of the exhibits were amazing and the predictions some groups made about the future of SL and a "digital world were good. I agreed with a number of them.

One of the things I didn't like was the choice by linden labs to use sculpted prims for a number of the pathways around the regions. while they did look interisting they suffered from the same basic problems when viewed from a distance that most sculpted prims have causing parts of the roads to look jagged at times. also the invisible prims used to make the roads solid cause difficulty walking onto, of of, and across the road. and worse they saved no prims compared to the simpler roads that were easier to walk on.

Maybe pictures or more details will follow... maybe not...
